Cabo San Lucas

My family has always loved Cabo. We’ve gone every year (sometimes multiple times a year!) since I was born, as it’s only a two and a half hour plane ride from LAX. Since I am well acquainted with Cabo San Lucas I thought I would share some of my favorites with you! Starting with…

HOTELS

The Solaz: Pictured above, this is the most recent hotel we stayed at in Cabo. It was one of my favorite trips we’ve ever done and I have to attribute that to this hotel! Not only is it absolutely picturesque, but it’s very tranquil. It has the feel of an adults only hotel, even though there were plenty of families. The rooms are incredible (and come with Byredo products…huge plus in my book). The food was amazing, as was the view of sunset from the pool with a spicy margarita in hand. Zero complaints. Highly, highly recommend.

Pueblo Bonito: My family has spent a lot of time at The Pueblo Bonito Hotels. When we were younger, we stayed at The Rosè as well as The Blanco. Both are on the beachside overlooking the Sea of Cortez. They’re down the beach from popular dining experiences (and College spring break destinations…) such as Mango Deck and The Office. Once we got a bit older and over the tourist traps in all honesty, we started staying at the beautiful Montecristo Estates within the Sunset Beach Hotel, where we have also stayed many a-times. Now, in the Summers, we stay at the Sunset Beach Quivira Estates. They’re absolutely stunning. It’s so nice to be on vacation but still in your own space rather than a busy hotel! Though, we like to go down to Sunset Beach to use the gym and socialize. If you’re on an Adults Only vibe, The Pacifica is an amazing Pueblo Bonito hotel, with an incredible spa!

Chileno Bay: Though I haven’t personally stayed here, I’ve dined here and it comes highly recommended by friends, as well as my Cabo-expert parents. It’s a stunning hotel and those who stay there…really stay there. I mean they absolutely hate leaving the hotel.

The Cape: This is another one that I haven’t had the chance to stay at, but have visited and loved every second of it! If you have the good fortune of staying here or even visiting, you MUST eat at Manta.

Grand Velas: If you’re looking for an all inclusive option, Grand Velas is the way to go. There’s incredible dining experiences and the hotel itself is amazing!

RESTAURANTS

From hole in the walls to the fanciest of shmanciest…I know Cabo food. Here are some of my all-time favorites –

Tacos Gus: These are the best tacos you will get in town. They’re fresh and delicious and you will continue to eat even when you are way past full. The best part…You’ll leave and feel like you’ve almost eaten for free (almost).

Los Tres Gatos: This place is awesome for dinner! It’s authentic Mexican food, served in a quaint outdoor restaurant. Definitely worth a go.

Flora Farms: WOW. Okay, Flora Farms is a 25-acre organic working farm and restaurant. The food is amazing and so are the grounds. I mean it even has a coffee/wine bar and a James Perse store??!!

Acre: Right next to Flora Farms in Baja, Acre has a beautiful restaurant…The food is off the charts. It’s great for sunset drinks and bites with a group of friends or family.

Misaki: This is a traditional Sushi restaurant located in the Solaz Hotel and it is hands down the best sushi I’ve ever had and Mexico and honestly some of the best sushi I’ve had…period. Go. That is all.

Il Forno: I know what you’re going to say…Italian, in Cabo? But seriously, this place is awesome. We love to go when we need a little taco break. It does not disappoint!

Tnt: Located at the Chileno Bay Pool…This place has some of the best tacos and ceviches. If you can sneak in here, it’s more than worth it.

ACTIVITIES

My absolute favorite activity in the world is horseback riding…and on the beach at sunset. A dream. I’ve gone riding outside of the Solaz hotel as well as with Rancho Carisuva. Other activities my family and I have enjoyed are…Zip lining, Cabo Dolphins, ATVing, as well as hiking, renting Jet Skis or a boat, and going to see surf competitions!

We love Cabo so much – I hope you enjoyed this guide and that it helps in planning your next Cabo trip! Here are some more pictures of my trips, below. Feel free to email or DM me with any questions regarding hotels, restaurants, you name it!

Xxxxx, Em
